Intenteino, pero xa \u00e9 tarde. O meu amigo Eme Cartea comentaba hai ben pouco neste Caf\u00e9 Barbantia, a novela <em>chave<\/em> do Decadentismo: <em>Do rev\u00e9s<\/em> (A contrapelo) de Huysmans, autor que tanto admiro (e, se non lembro mal, admirado por Anxo Rei Ballesteros grazas a <i>Al\u00e1 embaixo<\/i>). Rara mestura de monxe e perverso, foi con Mirbeau un dos anovadores da narrativa francesa de 1880 a 1910, partindo do naturalismo de Zola (hai que volver a Zola, sobre todo a \u201cUnha p\u00e1xina de amor\u201d, tan admirada por Gide) para ir a un decadentismo e un misticismo <!--more-->(que influir\u00e1 na Pardo Baz\u00e1n de <i>La quimera<\/i> e no Gald\u00f3s das derradeiras novelas), s\u00edntomas do grande malestar xa na modernidade que arrincaba de Baudelaire. <a href=\"http:\/\/cafebarbantia.barbantia.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/huysmann.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1033 alignright\" alt=\"huysmann\" src=\"http:\/\/cafebarbantia.barbantia.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/huysmann-208x300.jpg\" width=\"168\" height=\"243\" \/><\/a>Maupassant defin\u00eda a personaxe desta novela, Jean Folantin, como un Ulises das tabernas, un fl\u00e2neur aburrido \u00e1 deriva, unha clara prefiguraci\u00f3n do absurdo de Adamov e dalg\u00fans textos de Val\u00e9ry. Spleen+grotesco+humor+pesimismo: modernidade. Funcionario (\u00a1!) de Interior, magn\u00edfico cr\u00edtico de arte, poeta en prosa, cat\u00f3lico heterodoxo, oblato bieito, morreu en 1907. A traduci\u00f3n \u00e9 de Juan D\u00edaz de Atauri. Huysmans foi, ademais, un gran xornalista, esta novela breve de 1882 d\u00e1 unha imaxe acertada do seu talento, ese talento canso da fin de s\u00e9culo, un \u201cpesimismo pr\u00e1ctico\u201d seg\u00fan Gourmont, de grande modernidade, o \u201cennui\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rom\u00e1n Ar\u00e9n.
