Cunqueiro foi o noso gastr\u00f3nomo maior, o m\u00e1is erudito, pero tam\u00e9n o m\u00e1is fant\u00e1stico. Vila Pernas emprega para esta escolma non s\u00f3 os famosos libros <i>A coci\u00f1a galega <\/i>(1973) e <i>La cocina cristiana de Occidente <\/i>(1981), mais tam\u00e9n novelas (<i>Merl\u00edn e familia, <\/i>1955); <i>As cr\u00f3nicas do sochantre, <\/i>1956; <i>Si o vello Sinbad volvese \u00e1s illas, <\/i>1961, relatos de <i>Escola de menci\u00f1eiros <\/i>(1960), <i>Os outros feirantes <\/i>(1979) <!--more-->e <i>Xente de aqu\u00ed e de acol\u00e1 <\/i>(1961), ademais de artigos que logo foron compilados en <i>El pasajero en Galicia <\/i>(1979), <i>La bella del drag\u00f3n <\/i>(1991), <i>Viaje a Lugo <\/i>(2011), <i>Viajes imaginarios y reales <\/i>(1986) e <i>Viajes y yantares por Galicia <\/i>(2005), ademais da novela castel\u00e1 <i>Vida y fugas de Fanto Fantini della Gherardesca <\/i>(1973) e o <i>Teatro venatorio y coquinario gallego <\/i>(1958). Polo liro andan o raxo, a ovella salpresa, as papas de centeo, o ovo escalfado, mais tam\u00e9n \u201ctapas de plumas fritas\u201d, \u201crevolto de ovos con caraveles\u201d, \u201cfuci\u00f1o de elegante mechado\u201d ou \u201csopa de neve con marzoa de pavo\u201d. Da coci\u00f1a que Cunqueiro co\u00f1ec\u00eda da mari\u00f1a lucense e de Mondo\u00f1edo, \u00e1 fantas\u00eda de Sinbad.
