Est\u00e1n narrados con graza e tensi\u00f3n narrativa, pero o autor foi famoso, ademais, por <i>El esc\u00e1ndalo <\/i>(1875), <i>El capit\u00e1n Veneno <\/i>(1881), <i>El final de Norma <\/i>(1855), <i>La pr\u00f3diga <\/i>(1882), \u00e9 dicir, como narrador, pero foi tam\u00e9n poeta, autor de libros de viaxes como <i>La Alpujarra <\/i>(1874), <i>Viajes por Espa\u00f1a <\/i>(1883), <i>De Madrid a N\u00e1poles&#8230; <\/i>(1861) e polo <i>Diario de un testigo de la guerra de \u00c1frica <\/i>(1859).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pedro Antonio de Alarc\u00f3n e Ariza nacera en 1833, foi deportado en 1864 e ingresou na Real Academia Espa\u00f1ola en 1875.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A actividade de poeta foi secundaria nel, pero en 1870 publicou, con pr\u00f3logo de Varela, <i>Poes\u00eda serias y humor\u00edsticas, <\/i>que aumentou en 1878 e que co\u00f1eceu a sexta edici\u00f3n en 1951. <a href=\"http:\/\/cafebarbantia.barbantia.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/335424g0.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-8093\" alt=\"335424g0\" src=\"http:\/\/cafebarbantia.barbantia.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/335424g0-183x300.jpg\" width=\"183\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cafebarbantia.barbantia.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/335424g0-183x300.jpg 183w, https:\/\/cafebarbantia.barbantia.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/335424g0.jpg 396w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 183px) 100vw, 183px\" \/><\/a>Os seus vencellos con Galicia ve\u00f1en pola amizade con Emilia Pardo Baz\u00e1n, que lle dedicou o ensaio <i>Alarc\u00f3n. Estudio biogr\u00e1fico<\/i> en 1891, o ano da morte do autor, e pola protecci\u00f3n que lle dispensou en Madrid, nos seus inicios, o pol\u00edtico e poeta Nicomedes Pastor D\u00edaz, o autor de \u201cAlborada\u201d, falecido en 1863, pero a quen Alarc\u00f3n lembra a\u00ednda en 1882 co soneto \u201cEn el XIX aniversario de la muerte del excmo. Sr. D. Nicomedes Pastor D\u00edaz, solemnemente celebrado en Vivero\u201d:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a1Cantores de Galicia! No os asombre\/que, de tan lejos y ba\u00f1ado en llanto,\/vengo yo a unir mi canto a vuestro canto\/como obsequio filial al grande hombre.\/Ni el alto genio que le dio renombre,\/ni su gloria y su prez mu\u00e9venme a tanto&#8230;\/\u00a1M\u00e1s humilde y m\u00e1s hondo es el quebranto\/con que bendigo en mi dolor su nombre!\/\u00c9l me am\u00f3 como padre: fue mi amigo,\/mi maestro, mi amparo&#8230;; y yo, de hinojos,\/\u00a1ay triste!, de su muerte fui testigo&#8230;\/Hel\u00e1ronse en mis brazos sus despojos&#8230;;\/y, hu\u00e9rfano ya de \u00e9l, s\u00f3lo conmigo,\/\u00a1cerr\u00e9 por siempre sus nublados ojos!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Outra relaci\u00f3n ten Alarc\u00f3n con Galicia, pois en 1876 negouse a colaborar nunha coroa po\u00e9tica adicada ao vigu\u00e9s Teodosio Vesteiro Torres (1847-1876) por terse este suicidado e parecerlle ao conservador que era Alarc\u00f3n que calquera homenaxe era facer apolox\u00eda do suicidio.
