En fin, talvez sexa mellor volver aos discos que m\u00e1is me te\u00f1en ocupado no primeiro trimestre do 2018.\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">Aproveito a ocasi\u00f3n para lembrar que Angel Olsen, autora do primeiro dos \u00e1lbums dos que vou facer un pequeno comentario, actuar\u00e1 en Santiago (Auditorio Abanca) o 12 de maio.<!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">Despois dos tres anteriores elep<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">\u00e9<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">s de estudo, &#8220;Half Way Home&#8221;, &#8220;Burn Your Fire For No Witness&#8221; e o fabuloso&#8221;My Woman&#8221;, a artista nacida en St. Louis en 1987 e actualmente afincada en Asheville (Carolina do Norte) logo dunha longa estad\u00eda en Chicago, acaba de alum<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">ear<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> &#8220;Phases&#8221;, un traballo onde recupera canci\u00f3ns que quedaron f\u00f3ra das s\u00faas anteriores gra<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">v<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">aci\u00f3ns.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"gl-ES\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">A\u00ednda que o presentou coma unha colecci\u00f3n de descartes, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><i>demos<\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> e caras B, o elep\u00e9 est\u00e1 moi afastado de ser unha reco<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">m<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">pilaci\u00f3n de reta<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">llos<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> cosidos nun disco para contentar os seus fans ou o seu selo discogr\u00e1fico. \u00c9 unha obra con vida e voz propias. A\u00ednda que sempre sobre a base da electr\u00f3nica, &#8220;Plunge&#8221; destila pop por case que todas as costuras das s\u00faas once canci\u00f3ns. E se \u00e1s veces semella algo boscoso e enrevesado, como o era o elep\u00e9 do seu debut en solitario, este ten vocaci\u00f3n de ser un impulso cara <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">\u00e1<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> \u00e9xtase e a visceralidade adornada con xiros s\u00f3nicos alien\u00edxenas, pero est\u00e1n acompa\u00f1ados de letras terreais, palabras que falan de sexo l\u00e9sbico do bo, do que doe e o do que tra<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">scende <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">a<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> carne. En &#8220;Turn Out The Lights&#8221; contin\u00faa metida no mesmo lodo. A\u00ednda que xa parece liberada dos dia\u00f1os das s\u00faas adicci\u00f3ns, c\u00f3ntanos que s<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">guen estando a\u00ed a depresi\u00f3n e as p\u00edlulas para d<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">u<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">rmir, os fracasos amorosos&#8230; Parece obsesionada en dirixir as s\u00faas pregarias (potentes baladas) a un Deus que semella xordo e mudo. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"gl-ES\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif; font-size: large;\"> Se no primeiro disco, a voz, que cadraba coas s\u00faas letras, e guitarra (entre o folk e o ambiental) eran os eixes centrais, neste segundo segue apoi\u00e1ndose na s\u00faa guitarra e na voz, instrumentos agora complementados cun piano. A Baker demostra aqu\u00ed que ten crecido como int\u00e9rprete e compositora, \u00e1 vez que leva a voz at\u00e9 niveis que estremecen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"gl-ES\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">Imos pechar o repertorio co disco dun home, veterano no mundo musical, pero pouco co\u00f1ecido para o gran p\u00fablico, pese a que n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">o<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> s<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">eu<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> labor de compositor e produtor ten aportado m\u00e1is dun gran de area na carreira mete\u00f3rica de Madonna, irm\u00e1 da s\u00faa dona. Falamos do californiano Joe Henry. Segundo nos ten contado, tres son os p\u00e9s sobre os que edificou o disco: os poetas Rilke, Walt Whitman e Runi, referentes pouco habituais nunha \u00e9poca na que a poes\u00eda case nunca figura na orde do d\u00eda e na que ademais a meirande parte dos artistas se enredan na le<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">tura das mensaxes groseiras e v<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">as<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> das redes sociais.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"gl-ES\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">Jose Henry aposta por esa arma carga<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">da<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> de futuro que \u00e9 a aut\u00e9ntica poes\u00eda para expresar a s\u00faa preocupaci\u00f3n pola marcha do mundo e polo estado de cousas que vive o seu pa\u00eds, ben mediante unha fonda e rabiosa tristura, como amosa en d\u00faas xoias coma <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><i>The Dark Is Light Enough<\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> e <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><i>Hungry<\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> ou mediante un canto m\u00e1is esperanzador e optimista coma en <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><i>River Floor<\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> e <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><i>Now And Never<\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">.
